View Original Photo

A new school year is about to begin and with that comes an opportunity to grow as an educator. Gone are the days of being okay with status quo. Many opportunities are available in the way of technology, social media, and Web 2.0 Tools, in order to promote the success of all students. These opportunites also present themselves to educators as they look to grow within their profession. We all know that to be relevant in the classroom we must find ways to stay on top of best practices and meet students where they are. Tapping into their interests and creating a culture of sharing, collaboration, and thinking is paramount. What separates the effective from the highly effective teacher is quite clear and addresses this very important phrase: "What's Best for Kids." Enclosed in this blog post is a presentation that will provide educators with a working knowledge of best practice resources aligned to technology integration within the Danielson Framework. If implemented correctly, these tools of the trade will transform the way educators grow professionally and more importantly how students make sense of their learning in an innovative fashion.
